My Health & My Craft

Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!
I wanted to take a minute and talk about how I approach my Craft and how I practise it. This is because I know that witchcraft can be personalised and tailored to each practitioner's life, and I want to share my Craft.
I have chronic health issues which can get in the way of what I want to do. But I don't put any pressure on myself to do any more than what I feel capable of. This does mean that sometimes, I can't do the spells and rituals I want to do. It's like in any part of life: if you cannot do it, you don't have to force yourself to do it.
When I have a good day, I get stuck in with doing all the "mundane" stuff I may have put off, like tidying up particular areas, which some people may not see as having any connection with magick but cleaning and cleansing are almost the same thing, with cleaning as the surface level version and cleansing as the deeper version.
The visible physical can have an effect on mental health. So by tidying up my living room, I was also cleansing myself by decluttering my mind and removing the things that I didn't need to worry about. Tidying my living room had a positive effect on me mentally but
At the time of writing this, it has been months since I did any kind of spellwork or ritual. I don't feel like I need to do anything as I haven't felt well enough to do anything more than the absolute basics of living and surviving. And that's okay.
I am not competing with anyone. Nor do I need to compare how I live as a Witch with how anyone else lives as a Witch. My Craft is my own. It can be an inspiration for others but each magickal practitioner will have their own methods and ways of doing spellwork or rituals.
Regardless of whether it is magickal or mundane, I do what I can when I can. No more and no less. If I don't feel able to do a spell or ritual, I don't have to do it. There's no pressure on me to do anything I can't do, unless I put that pressure there. I choose not to put any pressure on myself because I've learned the hard way that unnecessary pressure doesn't help anyone.
My health is way more important than my Craft. If I'm not healthy, I can't do anything, let alone spells and rituals. So I have to prioritise looking after my body over my Craft.
I wasn't sure originally what I wanted this post to highlight for you but having shared my beliefs and how I approach my health and my Craft, I've realised that I would want this post to be encouragement towards taking care of yourself first then practicing your own Craft.
So please take this as a sign to look after your own bodies and health without feeling like you need to do any spells or rituals. I know this was much shorter than my usual posts but sometimes the best messages are.
Peace and love to all!!!!
