Comfort As My Twin Flame

Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!
I wanted to continue with a theme of looking at different things as a twin flame within my life. It's an interesting concept that was inspired by That Witch Karena when she offered it as a workshop a few years ago. I also wrote about my experience as well as going on to write about other things as a twin flame to me.
Comfort just happens to be the most recent one I want to write about. Comfort is definitely subjective as what makes me comfortable is not necessarily the same for others. I joke that I'm a modern hobbit-hermit but not like Bilbo and Frodo as I prefer the non-adventurous life. Food and home are my main comforts but there's so much more.
As I did before, I used my A Curiou Deck of Alice Playing Cards to divine wisdom about Comfort and the questions Karena posed about Money.

What would a better relationship with Comfort do for me?
7 of Diamonds
With this card, I feel as if there are two answers: a better relationship with Comfort would lead to me having better armour or defense (against what, I'm not sure) like the Knight shown within thiscard but it could also give me the choice as to whether I really need to wear/use it. I can be really defensive about my sense or level of comfort.
I could be also more like Alice, who can see objectively and clearly the sheer number of burdens the Knight carries while knowing that this is symbolic for my own self and how I'm carrying way too much both mentally and emotionally.

Do I have the energy budget to hold the love from Comfort?
9 of Clubs
With this card, I feel as if the answer is yes but I need to be willing to rest as well as take time to play within my budget and with Comfort.
Comfort may also be an unconventional concept in my life as Alice is not sitting in the chair in a conventional manner. So it could mean that my energy budget isn't going to be what I, or others, expect it to be. This would not be surprising as I do live an unconventional life.
I could be represented as the kitten who appears to be curious but doesn't seem to be actively interested in the ball of yarn which could symbolise Comfort.

Do I chase the idea of Comfort, or do I attract it?
Jack of Clubs
With this card, I think the message is that I chase the idea of Comfort through the extra table settings at the Tea Party. There's plenty of space but where I am is never enough so I keep moving to try and find the idea of "enough", which in this instance also doubles as Comfort.
However, there's an element of attracting Comfort here because it could be that I laid out the extra table settings for others to discover their own sense of Comfort.
I'm either the Dormouse who is comfortabl occupying their space or the Hatter and Hare who seem more interested in elsewhere rather than here.

Where did I learn this pattern from?
King of Diamonds
With this card, I feel as if it is confirming that I learned this pattern of always looking elsewhere because I was so used to following the directions of others. All because I was told where to go instead of being offered choices.
I have learned that I am free to choose a different path and now I try to hold space for others to be able to make their own choices.
Comfort has also been more of a mysterious concept since the focus in my childhood was on what I needed so things like shelter, food and clothing that fitted. Now, I have what I need but I can add in what I want as an extra layer of mystery.
If Comfort were a sound what would it be?
My first thoughts were more appropriate for the next question but after sitting with this a while, I realised it's like the mysterious voice Elsa hears just before she has her second adventure. It's calling to me but I don't know where it comes from or where it started.
What would I want it to be?
The ultimate sound of Comfort to me is a cat purring in my face, especially when they are lying down and exposing their bellies to me. Another sound is the gentle snapping and popping of a log-fire in a fireplace. It's knowing there's a physical warmth that comes with the sound. I also like gentle music, something orchestral or Celtic, as it seems to reach within me.

Can I raise my vibration to match it and increase my energy budget?
Ace of Hearts
This card popped up for Confidence so the message is repeated but there's more to this particular version of the message:
Yes, I can raise my vibration but I need to nurture it as a farmer would growing a piglet to maturity, or a parent with a baby. The baby is symbolic and can either show that Comfort is something I harvest or it's something I can grow and learn with.
Alice doesn't seem to be comfortable holding the baby but she is holding it. This could be saying that Comfort is not always necessarily found outside of myself, that it's something I can discover within. The plants show I can grow into it.
If Comfort was a smell, what would it?
This is hard but the easiest thing I can describe is a warm hug in a mug, like hot chocolate however it could also be a cup of tea, which is what us British people are stereotypically associated with offering when Comfort is needed. I have a collection of teas in my kitchen and each one has its own purpose for when I need different forms of Comfort.

Where have I experienced this?
2 of Clubs
This card initially confused me but then I remembered the relationship between the Tweedles: they are brothers so they trust each other. They care about each other.
I always offer my friends tea (mainly because I don't have coffee in my house) but it's always useful for providing physical warmth as well as emotional bolstering for having difficult conversations.
Remembering these are brothers reminded me that I consider my friends to be my chosen family and so I experience tea-like Comfort from my friends. I can rely on them for support and companionship, just like the Tweedles.
When I hear "Comfort", is my reaction nervous or calm?
I would say my reaction to "Comfort" is calm because I know now that I deserve to have and know Comfort in my life while also having the bare minimum essentials for living.
If I'd been asked this question 10 years ago, I would have been nervous because back then, I believed Comfort was something that had to be earned and had a price.
What embodiment practice could help source and sustain "Comfort" within my, clearing old energy and expanding my energy budget?
Yoga came to me first because it's about being comfortable in my own body with gentle movements and poses. I do enjoy yoga, even if I haven't been able to keep up a regular practice recently but I am determined to get back to it in the future.
Intentional or guided breathing is another practice that could be used, especially in conjunction with yoga as it's about moving emotions and sensations through and out of the body.

How does Comfort care for me?
6 of Diamonds
With this card, I feel as if Comfort is symbolised by the Mad Hatter so it's saying that it's waiting for me to set it free from being chained in what appears to be a dungeon.
The Hatter has the necessities and his dignity (his hat). He also looks resigned but he's also not comfortable. He is patient as he is waiting for the truth to be revealed, as any wrongly imprisoned person does. The Hatter is waiting to be noticed and have space made for him, much like Comfort.
With his hat being so close by, this card could also be showing that Comfort is also nearby and waiting to be dressed up.

How do I care for Comfort?
8 of Spades
I feel as if this card is saying that I'm curiou about Comfort and want to know more because I'm Alice stepping through the Looking-Glass. It's not clear at first glance but this is not Alice returning to her living room as she is stepping into the Looking-glass room. She is curious about what else there is to find/discover.
Alice is moving away from what she knows to other and different things. This coould represent me looking in other different places for Comfort but it could also be that I like to show my personal spin on Comfort within my home so I can see it, as it's not something that happened when I was younger and I wanted something different as an adult.

How can I care for Comfort better?
Ace of Clubs
This is another card I have pulled before for Confidence but as the answer to a different question.
The themes of time and patience are still prevalent but slightly differently:
The clocks represent me having patience and waiting for the right time and conditions.
This is compounded by the idea that everything happens in its own time. While this is a religious quote/saying, it's still applicable and relevant.
Perhaps I can care for Comfort better by not trying to control it so much and instead letting Comfort be natural and without pressure.
This was a really deep and necessary dive into what Comfort is and means to me. I can recommend keeping an eye on That Witch Karena's socials and website for future Money As MyTwin Flame workshops which could provide you with your own foundation for things like this.
I hope this has inspired you to think about what Comfort is and means to you.
Peace and love to all!!!!
