Crown Chakra

So this is going to be about how I worked to strengthen and build up my crown chakra but first, I want to talk about the Crown Chakra. This chakra is located at the top of the head, quite literally where a crown would sit, hence the name. The Sanskrit name for this chakra is Sahasrara, which translates to "thousandfold" and this is very apt because the Crown Chakra is represented by a lotus that has 1000 petals.
This chakra is the home of inner knowing, insight, and self-realisation, as well as spirituality and holds our connection to the divine. The number of petals the lotus of this chakra has symbolises how unlimited and infinite our thought processes are. The Crown Chakra is believed to be the portal through which the human life force energy enters our bodies and moves down all the way to the Root before circling back up to the Crown. The more of this energy a person has, the more self-aware they are and the more personal development they are capable of.
The Crown Chakra is seen as the home of experiencing and knowing deity as an active presence in our daily lives. This is the Chakra that most mystics, psychics and healers will connect to as it is also connected to cosmic consciousness. Anyone who wants to seek out and work on a spiritual path will find their Crown Chakra as a good place to start for connection.
Associations of the Crown Chakra include: the Lotus flower as a plant, Platinum as a metal, and Violet, Lavender, Lotus, and Elemi as essential oils. Aquarius is the astrological zodiac sign associated with the Crown Chakra. Its earthly location is believed to be India while it is apparently connected to the mythological animal of the Eagle. Good crystals to keep on hand while connecting or deepening your connection to your Crown Chakra are Amethyst and Alexandrite.
So with all of this in mind, here's what I've learned about my own Crown Chakra:
Over the course of the last 7-ish years, I've been able to change some negtive ideas that I had about some people and experiences I have had. I used to blame other people and I definitely wasn't open to seeing events through their eyes for their perspective but now that I have stopped trying to blame anyone, I've been able to see their viewpoints and at least start to understand why others did what they did.
I'm no longer looking for approval or doing things that "earn" me love and/or acceptance from the Universe. I've come to understand that I deserve love and acceptance at all times and I don't need to do anything to make me "worthy" of it. All I have to do is be my true authentic Self to feel loved, healed and cherished.
When it comes to beauty, I've started to marvel at any form of it that I encounter within my day-to-day life, like seeing a Red Kite flying in my local area, seeing grey squirrels wandering in local parks, or just seeing flowers and plants around. Nothing is too small to marvel at.
Because of my newfound appreciation for the beauty of the natural world around me, I have plans to make my home as beautiful and comfortable as I would like it to be. While I'm not able to do everything immediately, it is a long-term plan and I'm already doing what I can to make my home as beautiful as I want it to be. I have a Wheel of the Year tree (essentially a repurposed "christmas" tree that I decorate every 6-ish weeks), and knick-knacks that fit my lifestyle on various surfaces but not covering them. I also try to keep my home as tidy as possible.
I've become a lot more mindful of what my thoughts focus on and whenever I find myself thinking too much about something, I will acknowledge that thought but then I'll release it and occupy myself physically with something else, like writing or cross-stitching. As long as my home is filled with peace, I am at peace. If I need to adapt to circumstances, then I do that without feeling irritated or imposed upon. Something that I've learned is that I can't experience peace or bliss if I'm still clinging to the negative experiences in my life, so I have to release them and turn my focus to the positives.
This Chakra has been very deep for me but by doing the necessary work, even if I wasn't aware that I was doing it, I have learned how to accept and be accepted. I have learned the importance of peace and positivity over negativity, even if it's in the past. Beauty doesn't have to be material things as it can be seen in and marvelled at anything and everything within the natural world.
I hope my experience has inspired you to consider everything that I have learned but also that you can do your own research into the individual Chakras to do your own personal Chakra energy work.
Peace and love to all!!!!
