New Moon in Gemini 2025

Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!

It's time for us to think about the New Moon in Gemini which will occur on or close to 27th May 2025. (Please note that this may differ if you are in a different timezone to the UK.)

New Moons are all about a new beginning and restarts, and this is why most people will choose to set intentions at this time. It's almost like a New Year's resolution but we get to do them every 4-ish weeks.

Gemini is the mutable Air sign which means it is a very changeable sign. Gemini straddles the period of time when Spring transforms into Summer. (The other mutable signs also cover the times when seasons change: earthy Virgo when Summer changes to Autumn, fiery Sagittarius when Autumn changes to Winter, and watery Pisces when Winter changes to Spring.)

Gemini is all about ideas, communication, being adaptable and curious. This sign is ruled by Mercury, which is amplifying all of these themes because Mercury is also associated with them. It's also interesting that the symbol and constellation for Gemini are twins, specifically Castor and Pollux, who within their mytology are described as harbingers of news and therefore associated with communication.

All of this Air energy might feel a bit much for some of us but that's okay because this particular New Moon is a bit more extroverted rather than the introverted energy we might be more used to with the other New Moons. It also suggests that we may need to think about how we approach communicating with others, our relationships, and how we collect information.

This New Moon is a great opportunity for us to make a list of the people, knowledge and anything else we want to gain or receive as we move towards the Full Moon. Then we can follow our intuition to try to make our way there. If writing a list doesn't feel right, we can always do a spider map of connections instead.

But how exactly can we work with this abundance of Air energy? Well, this is what I want a collective reading to do.

Where do we most need to change our approach to our communication?

Tarot - Guidance

When we aren't sure about communicating with others, whether it's the main body or message or who to communicate with, we look to others for guidance. While this can be good at first, if we do it too much and too often, we don't learn how to stand on our own two feet and create our own relationships with people.

The same can be said when asking for guidance from a divination tool. We can be told the same advice every time until it changes to what we might have hoped to be told in the first place.

Being careful that any guidance given is appropriate and relevant to your life is important so we should be guarded while still open to any advice we may be offered.

How can we implement change in our communications at this time?

Pendulum - Decision

It seems that we are being told to stop being indecisive and to make absolute decisions instead.

This might be challenging for anyone who isn't used to definitive answers or plans but sometimes, it is needed.

When it comes to communication, we need to be decisive even when offering options to someone else. Instead of putting the decision on others, we can offer two or three possibilities so that we can make the whole process easier for everyone.

Options are okay but only when appropriate and relevant to the situation. They shouldn't be offered at every chance or we won't make any progress.

How will this change improve our relationships?

Handwriting - Authenticity

By changing our approach to decisions around our communication, we can then discover our individual sense of authenticity.

We will also discover that we start to receive more authentic communications from others because we are expressing our own authenticity.

It's like going from a typed up email or letter that isn't personal to a handwritten one that you can tell someone has taken time to write and think about the message they wanted to send.

Using our own words and initiative when communicating with others will show that we can speak for ourselves and don't need to rely on others to provide the words.

What do we need to look for in order to follow our intuition moving forward?

Fire - Spontaneity

Constantly living according to our own personal set of rules will only limit just how much you pay attention to what is going on around us.

We might accidentally bump into a stranger but not get talking because we're too worried about getting to our destination that we don't stop to see if they are okay and then strike up a conversation to discover they could help us to achieve one of our goals.

Always doing the same thing every day leaves us with no time to notice the signs that we are being shown or even our gut feelings.

Sometimes being spontaneous will give us a reward greater than we could expect.

So there is plenty of room for improvement for us but nothing that is impossible for us to achieve. Relationships of any kind need communication and the more personal it is, the more authentic we are. Even checking in spontaneously will set us in good stead and prove we can be trusted not to just ghost people after a short time.
