Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!
It's time to think about how we can use the energy of the New Moon in Aries 2025 to kick-start our lives again. This New Moon is the first one after the Spring Equinox on 21st March, so it's almost like a second New Year event, especially when you add in that Aries is the first sign of the zodiac wheel.
The Spring Equinox marks the beginning of the astrological "new year", the start of springand so this New Moon in Aries really is packed with the energy of new beginnings. So if there's anything we haven't start on that we set the intention to at the calendar new year, this is the perfect time to get the project underway.
This is als the perfect time to reset and start over, with anything at all. If January 1st doesn't feel like the new start you wanted, this New Moon is a good alternative, although, any New Moon could be used for this.
This New Moon is associated with action and energy, from the connection between Aries and the planet Mars. It's the planet of war, desires, drive, self-assertion, and ambition, so Aries also has these energies. This is the time of year when we do our "spring cleaning", preparing for a new start while going through and sorting what we need from what we don't.
While this is true of Mars, this planet's influence also works to bring up our fears, especially the ones that we allow to control our lives and hold us back. This is done to try to propel us forward so that we can achieve our dreams and follow our purpose if we are brave enough to do so and live up to our full potential.
Within this New Moon in Aries, we are given a choice because both fear and excitement feel exactly the same within our bodies: are we going to allow whatever this feeling is to hold us back or push us toward realising our full potential?
This New Moon in Aries can be used to help us to take charge of our lives if we take an opportunity to make a 12-month plan (either calendrical or astrological) that allows us to make clear, focused deadlines and commitments. This is when we can find clarity of our soul calling and/or purpose, which could be achieved by making a list of everything that we are good at and enjoy doing. Another activity we can implement is to schedule some self-care in every day, even just 10 minutes, so that we can prioritise ourselves and put ourselves first.
Something to note about this particular New Moon in Aries is that it will be a partial solar eclipse. It follows the Full Moon Eclipse in Virgo, and will highlight slightly different aspects. Because this will be a Solar Eclipse, aspects of who we are will be held in stasis as opposed to the more emotional aspects from the Full Moon Eclipse. The Sun and Moon will be in the same sign so Aries plays a huge part in the energies of this Eclipse.
With our emotions (the Moon) being what hides away our personality (the Sun), perhaps we need to work out whether we are hiding who we really are behind our emotions too much or if we've been hiding our emotions with a front that we are trying to pass off as who we are.
So, let's look at how this New Moon Eclipse is most likely to affect or impact us as we move through Aries season. I created this spread just for this New Moon Eclipse in Aries and used the Game of Thrones tarot deck.

What do we need to stop hiding about our ambitions?
The Magician & Justice
The Magician comes to tell us that we already have the tools and skills to achieve our ambitions but in order to truly achieve them, we can't hide those facts away because we will only end up holding ourselves back.
It doesn't matter whether we are in denial about whether we are hiding that we have those tools and skills or if we know about them. We have to bring this knowledge into our awareness and the awareness of those around us.
Our ambitions matter. They matter just as much as anyone else's. We need to realise this and ensure that we have just as many opportunities to achieve them as others do with their ambitions.
With Justice, we are being told that we need to address any possible imbalance that is stopping us from achieving our ambitions. It doesn't matter whether we are too used to seeing others as more important, because we are on the same level and should be respected equally.
Just as Ned Stark sits on the Iron Throne dispensing the King's Justice, so too should we do the same.
If we hide our actions, then no one can corrobrate that we did what we said and others can steal the credit that should be ours. But if we are in clear view of others, doing what we need to do without any fear, then no one can argue that we did what we said we did.
Justice comes to tell us that it is time for us to stop hiding our own selves away because we need to stand tall, confident and fearless of our own abilities and skills. We need to be balanced within so that we can bring that balance to our external lives.

How can we build our confidence to aim for our dreams?
King of Swords
With this card, we are being told to just do what we want regardless of what others might say or do to try to stop us.
This particular King will fight anyone and anything in order to defend his kingdom, which includes his dreams. This King believes in what he wants to do, what he needs to do and what he desires to have in his life.
And that's exactly how we need to be. We need to believe in our dreams, that we are worthy of them, that we deserve to achieve them. We need the energy of this King within us because if we don't have faith in our dreams, then we won't be able to defend them appropriately.
Also, don't be afraid to keep some dreams secret from others so that you can prove to yourself that you can achieve them without any kind of interference.

In which area of our lives do we need to balance our drive and our emotions?
Two of Swords
Well, usually any Two would infer a need for balance within or where we need to leave the past behind us. But within this Two of Swords, we are being told to find the truth of our drive and emotions.
Arya Stark is blind and holds a true sword as well as a "false" wooden one, but she cannot see which is which. She has to feel it, both with her physical senses but also with her gut feeling or intuition. She can listen to what others tell her but, again, she has no way of knowing if they are telling the truth so she has to work out the truth by instinct, by and what feels heavy, which will not be the truth, and what feels light within her, which will be the truth.
This is how we need to approach our drive and emotions: telling apart falseness and truth from what we are told to aim for and feel.

How can we best discern between fear and excitement?
Knight of Swords
This Knight is happy to wait before making decisions because he knows the wisdom of seeing what happens around and ahead of him before he starts to move forward.
And this is exactly what we need to do. We need to be patient and willing to wait and see where the chips end up before we make a move.
Even if that patience lasts for just a moment, we can determine what it is that we are facing to see if we should be afraid or excited.
Rushing into situations without knowing exactly what we face is what can get us into trouble or stickier situations than what we need to be facing. So why would we do this if we don't know if we should be scared of or looking forward to what we face?
The choice is ours to make: patience to see with clarity or rush into the unknown.
With three of these cards being from the suit of Swords, it seems that our communication, movement, and action is what we need to focus on when it comes to our dreams, desires, intuition, and confidence. We need to know what drives us towards our desires and why so that we can figure out where Justice and the Magician come in as balance and having all the tools and skills necessary.
I hope this has inspired you and informed you as to the energy of this New Moon in Aries. If you'd like a more personal look at this, my diary and inbox are open.
