Full Moon in Sagittarius 2025

Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!

It's time for the next Full Moon which will be in the sign of Sagittarius, the opposite sign to Gemini. This Full Moon will occur around 11th June 2025, depending on the time zone you're in.

This particular Full Moon is special because it is the last Full Moon before the Summer Solstice (also known as Litha, Alban Hefin, Midsummer, and St John's Day). These two events are all about completion, as the Sun is strongest and the days are longest while the Moon is at its peak energy.

With these combined energies, we can use this specific Full Moon to tie off any loose ends from the first six months of this calendar year, decide who and what we want to be, and figure out what we want to achieve in the second half of the year.

One of the energies around this Full Moon is freedom as the Moon's light shines like a floodlight to illuminate the things that confine and bind us. It doesn't matter what it is, from being controlled, to not being heard, or not doing what we love for an occupation - everything will be brought to our attention. This will be done so that we can release all of these restrictions and make space for new beginnings over the next six months.

Gemini is all about finding the truth, making changes and feeding our curiosity by asking endless questions. So all of these will be brought to the forefront of our lives by the Full Moon. But we can use these energies to question why how and what is making us feel like we are being stifled, as well as where we can start to make changes.

So, I like to do a collective reading for the Full and New Moons to see how we can work with these events. For this one, I used the Celtic Dragon Tarot deck by D. J. Conway and Lisa Hunt for a spread I created just for this Full Moon in Sagittarius.

How are we most feeling restricted at this time?

Judgment

With this card, we are likely to be feeling restricted around where we can go and what we can do.

Perhaps someone close to us is stopping us from doing what we most desire to do because they think they know what is best for us. Maybe we work a job that doesn't offer much in the way of promotions or internal career progression.

Regardless of our personal situations, this card is saying that we aren't the ones in control. We are seen as not being good/skinny/rich/whatever enough for whoever we are being judged by.

Somehow we have lost sight of who we are, what we want to do in life, and who we want to be. Instead, we've handed each of these things over to someone else, perhaps hoping that it will make our lives easier.

How can we change this restriction so we are free of it?

Five of Wands

This card shows a fight or battle that is being fought on many fronts.

Perhaps the underlying message is that we need to fight back to regain control, to make decisions about our own lives instead of hoping someone else making them will make things easier for us.

Maybe this card is saying that we need to be strategic about which battle we choose to fight first.

Being strategic will always serve us because it will allow us the opportunity to see which ones we can fight immediately and which ones we need to take time to prepare for.

It may turn out that people we initially thought were enemies are actually allies who want to fight alongside us, to assist us with this necessary transformation.

What do we need to finish off from the last six months?

Death

This is the ultimate card of transformation (and it's one of my personal favourites). This card embodies the Winter season as it is the time when change occurs in the most surprising ways. It's when life complete dies off and what is left allows new life to begin again in the Spring.

In answer to this question, though, it is saying that we need to finish off the journey we have been on in the last 6 months because we can use these endings to fuel the growth we will undergo over the next six months.

This card is saying that what we most need to do is shed the person we used to be according to others, so that we are true to our own inner Selves and living our own lives without anyone else controlling us or who we are presented as.

What can we set as an intention for the next six months?

Strength

If it's time for us to be true to our own inner Selves, then we need to have the strength to not care about the judgment that will inevitably be thrown our way.

This might mean that working on our self-confidence so that we are able to just be our Selves is the intention we most need.

Maybe we set the intention to live according to this saying: "A lion doesn't concern themselves with the opinions of sheep". It means that we are the lion and other people are the sheep whose opinions are immaterial because they are not us.

Maybe our intention is to develop and build the strength to stand up for ourselves, our desires and goals, and the life we desire most.

Or we need to remember that we deserve to live our best life just like others do.

So with this being the Full Moon associated with the Archer, we can use this energy to aim for all of these things and achieve them over the next six months. There is no reason why we can't take back control of our lives and who we are from those who haven't gotten to know us at all. It will be a learning curve but the freedom that we will feel at the end of the process will always be well worth the time and energy.

I hope this has inspired you to achieve what you want in your lives. If you'd like a more personal look at the energies of this Full Moon in Sagittarius, my inbox and diary are open.

Peace and love to all!!!!
