Season of the Witch Conference 2025

ree

Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!

It's that time of year when the Season of the Witch Virtual Conference occurred to bring in the "spookiest time of the year", and if you didn't see my social media posts, I'm sorry but you missed an amazing two days of magickal learning. Don't worry though as there are two conference per year, roughly six months apart.

The amazing Emily at Wise Woman Witchery puts these events together and I do try not to miss one if I can help it. I've been working with Emily and her Diving Deeper community for a few years now and I thoroughly enjoy everything she has to offer there, so when Emily asked for applications for this year's Season of the Witch conference, I thought I'd apply to present a workshop/lesson.

Day One was supposed to start with an Opening Ceremony, which I will admit to missing as I had a sudden onset of cleaning energy so I was tidying my home while it happened. I feel like I needed to do my cleaning right then to cleanse my space ready for the Conference but it was also the first time I'd felt vaguely able to do the cleaning thanks to having a migraine for about a week.

The first lesson was "Lilith, Maman Brigitte and Pomba Gira: The Dark Goddesses of Your Dreams" which was presented by Lilith Dorsey. Lilith has presented in past conferences so to be able to learn again from her was amazing. These three goddesses, from three different regions of the world, were (and still are) intriguing to me so this may be a new research rabbit hole I dive down. I was reminded of Lilith Dorsey's book, "Orishas, Goddesses and Voodoo Queens: The Divine Feminine in the African Religious Traditions" as I meant to listen to this and have yet to actually do it.

The second class was "Exploring Chakras through Music" with Joyce Grabarzick. It was certainly interesting as I hadn't really explored using music to tap into the energies of the Chakras (even though I have a book about Chakras and I'm fairly certain music was mentioned). Joyce played the harp to connect with the Chakras and played particular chords for each one, which wasn't something I thought would happen but it was really relaxing and brought the Chakras together for me at least.

Class number three was "Accessing the Goddess (Using Meditation and Tarot to Consult with the Goddess)" with Christine Michelle, who is another amazing Lady I have had the privilege to learn from through past conferences and lessons offered through the Diving Deeper community. This particular class combined astrology, tarot and meditation to connect with four asteroids that are associated with goddesses. I really enjoyed it, as the tarot reading I ended up doing on myself gave me an insight into what I could do to improve my future if I would only listen to Her and even if I don't know who exactly is trying to get my attention.

The final class of the day was "Boost Your Witchy Intuition" with Melissa St. Hilaire, another Lady I have been able to learn from in the past. Melissa's energy is so uplifting and "go get 'em!" that I couldn't help but be pulled into everything. Melissa explained about the most prominent clair gifts and what they mean, then dived into a meditation to help connect with whichever we (the attendees) had. I have claircognisance but I will admit I struggle to sense what items people are holding but instead, I did pick up on items Melissa nearly used which was interesting for sure.

Day Two started off with "Let's Get Cthonian: Meeting Underworld Deities from Greek Mythology" with Irisanya Moon, who is also a past presenter but who I do enjoy learning from. Irisanya spoke about the Greek deities (gods as well as goddesses) who are associated with the Underworld. It was interesting to learn more about some of the stories/mythology that I already knew as well as learn about new and/or alternative stories for them.

The second lesson of the day was "Witchy Animal Guides and Totems for A Purposeful Path!" with Rachel Roberts, who has also presented at previous conferences. In this lesson, Rachel spoke about five different animal guides and what they could mean for me, what I could learn from them, and what they could mean to me as an ally to my sacred purpose. It was definitely interesting to learn and experience a meditation to meet a current animal ally and see what they might want me to learn.

The third lesson was "Ogham: Divining with Trees & Plants" and this was my lesson. I loved putting this together and sharing the information I have learned with others. I've never been more nervous as I don't know many people who are interested in the same topics and things as myself. I didn't need to worry as it went really well. Every question was answered and I loved it! I may have an idea for a project for the future.

The penultimate class of the day (and weekend) was "Broom As Blade: Rebel Magic" with Angelina Caporale, who is a returning presenter. I always love to learn from Angelina as her energy is just amazing! She spoke about what brooms can be used for as well as cleansing but during the interactive part, Angelina helped me to realise that I already work with the energy of Brooms as I have two small ones: one sits on a corner of my desk, while the other lives on my "Magic Tree" (my repurposed tree that I decorate every few weeks and cleanse for each Wheel of the Year celebration).

The final class was "Reclaiming the Matriarchy" with Emily Morrison, the Creatrix behind this whole event. I rave about Emily and what she does. This was all about how to bring back some semblance of power to living in modern society. Looking at what I associate with certain terms, it was interesting to see what I thought of them. As part of reclaiming my power, Emily led a meditation to create a power sigil that I can take forwards into my future.

There were pre-recorded classes offered as well but I haven't watched those yet as I do prefer live lessons. However, I have a few of them to catch up on (from the last conference as well as this one) but I'm sure they are as great as the live lessons. The Closing Ceremony was beautiful and simple but no less powerful, allowing me to ground and center myself while releasing the energies of the conference.

This whole weekend was as epic as past conferences and I wish it could be repeated. I always love to have the opportunity to learn from others about anything and everything so to be a teacher myself was such an honour and a privilege.

I hope this gives you the inspiration to sign up for the next conference (sometime in 2026) so you can take the chance to learn yourselves.

Peace and love to all!!!!
