Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!
As well as Neptune going retrograde, Saturn is also approaching going retrograde from 13th July to 28th November this year. Saturn will be retrograde in the signs of Aries and Pisces, just like with Neptune.
Saturn hasn't been in the sign of Aries for very long, as it takes about 2.5 years to move through a single sign so "not very long" is a bit subjective in this instance. This is mentioned because Saturn starts in Aries at 1º56' and moves backwards into Pisces around 1st September before going direct again in Pisces at 25º09' and retracing that movement.
Saturn is the planet associated with limitations, as it is almost as if the rings that encircle this planet are literal and constrict how much growth is possible. This planet is also connected to discipline, boundaries, and anything that might be considered taboo. This is the planet that can teach us how to set boundaries, how to respect them, how far to push the boundaries of others (especially the ones given by parental figures), and how disciplined we can be.
With Aries as the sign typically associated with getting projects started, Saturn's retrograde starts with showing us that we need to consider what we are being held back by. We can want and desire progress but when that doesn't happen, it is easy to stubbornly keep trying the same things (even if it is the definition of insanity). So we need to be more objective and look to see what isn't working and is therefore restricting us.
As Saturn moves backwards into Pisces, this brings up the emotional things that may be hampering our progress. To be honest, it doesn't matter what progress we desire to see but we still need to get to the root of why we want to see progress, as well as why we have chosen particular projects and/or areas to make progress in. This is the time for us to look at the emotional burdens we have been carrying for too long that are now stopping us from making real progress.
This may be the deeper part of this Saturn Retrograde because Saturn moves further through Pisces than Aries but it is just as equally likely to be different for each of us. It's almost as if Saturn has come to give us our own personal therapy experience without actually seeking out a professional therapist, all so that we can work out our emotional blockages and burdens to release them from within us.
So those are the energies that will be swirling around us for the next few months. It sounds like a lot and it might be quite an experience, however this time can be used to discover what it is that is stopping us from making progress within our lives, selves but particularly emotionally.
That's why I've put together this collective reading around how we can make the most out of this opportunity. I created this spread and used the Everyday Witch Oracle deck by Deborah Blake.

What is limiting us from making progress?
Meditation for Clarity
With this card, we are being told that we aren't taking enough time to get clarity on certain situations we are facing.
Without clarity on where we are going, we can't see a clear path forward. It doesn't matter what it is that is causing the seeing waters to be full of ripples and murkiness. What does matter is whether we are willing to stop what we are doing in order to discover the clear way forward.
Meditation can help us to find that clarity. But this isn't always for everyone so another option is to write everything down about the current situation, like the positives and the negatives as if it's not happening to us. Being objective is always useful but not always easy to achieve.

What do we need to do to overcome this limitation?
Joy and Delight
With this card, we are being told to change our perspective. If we aren't making progress, it can be easy to only see the negatives while ignoring the positives.
So rather than focusing on the negatives and becoming depressed and pessimistic, we should focus on the good. But if we can't find anything, then we should focus on enjoying ourselves, discovering the joy in any given moment or day and just having pure fun.
Just because we can't have things our way doesn't mean that we can't find something to wonder and marvel at in life, something to make us smile and learn from. Finding enjoyment in plants and animals is one way to do this, as shown by this card.

How can we be more connected with our goals?
Meditation to Dig Deep
With this card, we are being told to not be too impatient when it comes to when we think our goals should be achieved. The timeline of when things should happen is not decided by us and we have to be willing to not disturb the soil our goals are growing in so that the roots of stability are able to grow.
We can't keep digging up the ideas we plant, as this stops progress and growth from happening. Although this card says to dig deep, this is all about being patient and letting everything happen at a time that we don't try to control.
Meditation can help us to do this, but again, it's not for everyone so growing a real garden could be helpful.

What does Saturn most want us to know during this Retrograde?
Give Love
With this card, the last piece of advice from Saturn is that it's important that we give as much love as we want to find progress.
Progress in another form is love. If we show love to our goals, then it also means that we give our goals the time and space in which to grow, rather like parents do with their children throughout life.
Giving love can be taking a backseat and holding space for growth. Love doesn't have to be big public displays either as it can be a small action, like watering a plant or removing weeds.
Sometimes all we have to do to give love is spend time with our goals without putting conditions on them.
This Saturn Retrograde could be deep and challenging but the rewards of it will illuminate where we can grow and make progress with our goals and our lives in general. So over the next few months, it's important that we find some kind of clarity whenever we think that progress isn't happening for whatever reason, however it feels right to find. One way we can overcome this murkiness to gain clarity is to find the joy and delight that surrounds us at every moment in so many different forms. One of the many courses of action that we could take is to just give love to ourselves and our goals as much as we do to other people.
I hope this has been helpful and informative with how we can approach the next few months. If you'd like a more personal look at how this Saturn Retrograde could impact your life, my diary and inbox are open.
Peace and love to all!!!!
