Merry Meet and welcome to you magickal souls!!!!
It's time for my final post about the "Be A Goddess" book by Francesca De Grandis. This will cover the entire book rather than each Lesson/chapter individually.
This was a rather interesting book, something I wasn't sure I would enjoy with the heavy leaning towards Wicca. I'm not anti-religion but it just doesn't sit right within me, and that's okay.
Anyway, I did my best to set aside my feelings around Wicca and managed to have a decent experience. Although decent may not be the right word. Interesting comes close but different may be the better word after all.
Starting with a grounding ritual, something to build a practice onto, Francesca encourages that readers use it daily over a period of weeks so that it becomes a habit, something done almost unconsciously with and before future rituals.
Moving through some rituals that didn't quite feel right to my Craft but which I tried to know for sure. It's always a good idea to try something new and see if it has a place within your life, Craft and practice.
While each Lesson has its own topic, I do feel as if this is a book that could be dipped in and out of depending on where the reader is within their own journey. If you're not ready for one topic but you are ready for the one after, then I would suggest skipping and coming back to the skipped Lesson.
The whole book is comprised of 15 lessons, which if done according to the minimum length of time for each Lesson, would take 15 months to complete. Some topics are deeper and might require spending more time with it than the shorter ones, and that would be okay. It should be up to each reader as to how long it takes and the total time spent on each Lesson.
It is a very well-laid out book, with each chapter or Lesson broken down into "lectures" and with rituals spread throughout. My only recommendation is that religion is discarded and not focused on, as much as Wicca is presented as balancing the male and female or God and Goddess energy within our own selves. It was definitely intriguing to explore but may not be to everyone's taste.
Getting to know and understand Nature more from a different perspective was thought-provoking and definitely helped me with the various life-events that occurred while I've been reading and writing about this book.
I hope this inspires you to get your own copy and explore the topics within it. My written eperiences haven't covered everything as I wanted to leave something mysterious for you to enjoy.
Peace and love to all!!!!
